On December 29th, 2020, the Croatian towns of Petrinja, Sisak, and Glina (some 40kms from Zagreb) with surrounding villages were hit by a 6.2 earthquake, damaging buildings, roads, infrastructure and claiming several lives. People have lost their homes, places of work, and their businesses. Since then, many have not been able to return to their homes due to extensive building damage. They are being provided with accommodation, food, and hygiene products. However, Croatian Rotarians are working with Rotary Club Sisak and the Rotary District 1913 crisis team to assess specific medium and long term needs, so that together with Rotarians from around the world, support can be provided to help rebuild these communities.
