Help earthquake survivors in Myanmar & Thailand Your Help is Needed!
Recent earthquakes in Myanmar & Thailand: communities have been devastated, thousands are in desperate need of help. Together with Disaster Aid Australia and Disaster Aid Thailand – projects of Rotary Clubs worldwide – Disaster Aid Europe is providing vital support to those affected.Specifically, we have recently visited Northern Thailand where Myanmar evacuees, mainly children, have found refuge. These earthquakes registering magnitudes of 6.0+, have caused widespread destruction to homes, schools, infrastructure. Families are now homeless, children without parents, lacking access to clean water, food, and many injured require medical care.
Together we are helping survivors to rebuild their lives. Beyond immediate needs of clean drinking water and shelter, rebuilding communities begins. Our APPEAL is focused on working with local organisations to deliver essential supplies to those in need, mainly children. This includes the provision of clean drinking water.
Humanitarian Aid to Ukraine: Ujeta Care water filters, hygiene packs, generators….
Disaster Aid Europe z.s, is seeking donations to provide humanitarian aid (water filters, hygiene packs, generators) to the Ukraine, some of which we have taken in our trailer across the Slovak/Ukrainian border to local Rotarians in Uzhorod, Ukraine for further inland transport. Other aid has been sent direct to Kosice (RC Kosice Classic) for RC Uzhgorod Skala Rotarians to collect to take to Ukraine, and then to Kharkiv for local distribution by RC Kharkiv Multinational. Please donate generously.
Help fight the Cholera Epidemic in Zambia!
The cholera outbreak in Zambia began in October 2023 with a surge in cases since January 2024; over 19,000 cases with over 700 deaths.
Since cholera is linked to the absorption of contaminated water or food, access to clean drinking water is essential to stem its spread.
It is important to highlight that cholera is a preventable disease. Good access to clean water, and proper sanitation infrastructure and hygiene measures (focus on WASH: Water and Sanitation, Hygiene) reduces the likelihood of cholera outbreaks. Awareness and prevention through community networks are as essential as medical care.
Disaster Aid Europe z.s is helping & supporting Lukasa Rotary Clubs in their efforts to fight this outbreak, by focusing on the provision of clean drinking water technologies and WASH training & workshops.

Disaster Aid Europe’s mission is to assist Lebanese Rotary & Rotaract Clubs in helping and supporting the rebuilding of communities severely affected by the 4th August 2020 explosion in Beirut. 300,000 homes were destroyed causing homelessness and many have homes with no windows and doors as well as other damage.
On December 29th, 2020, the Croatian towns of Petrinja, Sisak, and Glina (some 40kms from Zagreb) and surrounding villages were hit by a 6.2 earthquake, damaging buildings, roads, infrastructure, and claiming several lives. People have lost their homes, places of work and their businesses.
2024: Zambia – to combat cholera, a Sky Hydrant Gem was installed at the David Kaunda Secondary School in Lusaka by Stuart Amesbury, DAE Ops Trustee.
