The key objective is for participants to learn more about Disaster Aid International (www.disasteraidinternational.com), Disaster Aid Europe (www.disasteraideurope.com) and gain a basic understanding of what is required, as well as acquire or further develop appropriate skills necessary, to become a team member, part of a deployment team who will become involved with other Disaster Aid Country groups responding to an international disaster, helping to rebuild communities.
This D.A.R.T (Disaster Aid Response Team) Training weekend is the beginning of the selection process to identify suitable candidates for deployment (usually 2 weeks although it can be for longer), which would be initially with experienced leaders. Alternatively, learn how and when to become an Ambassador of Disaster Aid!
The course language will be in English. The Course Leader is a former British military officer experienced in providing the necessary health, security and safety sections of the training. Others will provide technology information.
Next Training Course to be advised in due course.
